Prepare and spin garnetted yarn by recycling yarn scraps and blending them with dyed wool. This workshop will cover fiber preparation, hand carding, blending, and woolen spinning techniques. Design aspects include color theory and creating gradients. Warp a rigid-heddle loom using direct warping and millspun yarn, and will learn to weave on the rigid heddle loom to complete a scarf using your handspun weft. Students may knit the scarf instead of weave, with the option to use an original short-row design.
